Regional and global rounds for 2025-2026 are currently being scheduled and posted on our calendar. If your city had a round in 2024-2025, please know that we'll be returning, most likely on dates similar to last year. If your city hasn't had a round yet, and you'd like to host one, please contact us.
Rule Updates for 2026
For all of our rounds taking place after Jan 01, 2026, scholars will no longer be allowed to use devices (or to access the Internet) in the debates.
Rule Updates for 2025
1). At all of our rounds, teams will debate three times each. For their first two debates, they will have unrestricted access to their devices and the internet (if available) during the 15-minute preparation period; afterwards, they must put their devices away. For their third debate, teams will have no access to devices or the internet at any time.
2). In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, all students attending the Tournament of Champions must be age 11 or older.
Upcoming Regional Events
Day 1 (Saturday, 20 December): Check-in and the Opening Ceremony will be at Eskişehir Osmangazi University – Congress and Convention Center. Afterwards, all delegations should make their way to Atayurt College for the rest of the day’s academic events.
Day 2 (Sunday, 21 December): All events will be held at Eskişehir Osmangazi University.
Important Note: Delegations must arrange their own transport to Atayurt College on day 1.
The Eskisehir Round has reached full capacity. Space is still available for the Izmir Round in January.
(Important Status Update: As of 18 December, the Izmir Round (17-18 January) is at 90% capacity and the Izmir Select Round is at 60% capacity. Anyone who is planning to travel to Izmir but has not yet registered is strongly advised to send their registration form right away to secure their places. We expect both rounds to reach maximum capacity soon.)
In Izmir this year there are two separate rounds, sharing an overlapping day but otherwise completely distinct. Both rounds will feature all age divisions and both will be held at Ozel Ege Lisesi. Schools should choose one round or the other to attend, but not both.
The first round will take place on Saturday-Sunday (17-18 January) and will feature a later start (and finish) on day two. This first option is called, simply, the Izmir Round.

The second option is called the Izmir Select Round and will take place on Sunday-Monday (18-19 January). Any school may choose to attend the Izmir Select Round.

January 25 - Combined Day 3, held at Sheikh Abdul Aziz Hall at University of Bahrain
Islamabad Round
Froebel's International School Gulberg Greens and Pak-China Friendship Centre
February 12th will be day 1 for the Junior Division and February 13th will be day 1 for the Senior Division. Both divisions will join together for a combined day 2 on February 14th.
Day 1 will take place at Hsinchu County American School. Day 2 will take place at an external venue TBA.
The Tashkent Round is open to scholars aged 12 and above. The Junior division age range for this round is 12-13 years old.
The dates for the junior division will be 11 and 13 April and for the senior division the date will be 12 and 14 April.

Please note that there will not be a Cebu Round held in 2026. Any schools wishing to join us from Cebu are encouraged to join the Manila Round.
The Surabaya I Round is limited to 600 scholars.
