Official Hotels

Official Hotels will be offered by JTB, our ground partner in Japan. We encourage all participants to stay at one of our recommended hotels which are all within walking distance of Pacifico Yokohama. The prices below are for 6 nights (Dec 10 to Dec 16), per guest and not per room. These six consecutive nights are sold as a package and are not available for individual booking. All rooms are designed for double occupancy. In case of triple occupancy, a sofa bed or a foldaway bed will be provided. Breakfast is included in the rates.

Ground Transportation

All recommended hotels are within walking distance of Pacifico Yokohama. On debate days, buses will depart for debate schools from the Pacifico Yokohama in the morning and return in the evening. There is no charge for these buses.

Airport Transfers and Optional Tours

Chartered Airport Transfers will be coordinated by WSC JAPAN on your request basis, and will be offered by JTB. There are several public transportation options from both Haneda Airport and Narita Airport. From Haneda, take Keikyu Line (KK) to Yokohama Station. From Narita, take Narita Express (NEX) to Yokohama Station. There are also highway bus services (Airport Limousine) from each airport to Yokohama City Air Terminal (YCAT), which is the nearest bus terminal to Pacifico Yokohama. If your flights are late at night or early in the morning, chartered buses will be offered on request basis. Each bus can accommodate up to 40 passengers with one standard size suitcase per passenger.

Optional Tours

Optional tours will be offered by JTB. Tour options range from traditional Japanese culture to Anime and Pop Culture and include: • Asakusa Area with the choice of experience, Tokyo Bay Cruise and Odaiba Park.
• The Great Buddha in Kotokuin Temple, Kamakura Komachi Street and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
• Owakudani Valley, Hakone Pirate Ship and overview of Mt. Fuji.
• Pop Culture in Harajuku and Anime Sacred Place in Ikebukuro.
• Sanrio Characters’ Home: Sanrio Puro Land.

Special Registration & Refund Policy

Due to the exceptional demand for and limited capacity of this round, the following policies will be enforced in order to ensure the availability of space for all who wish to participate:

• Cancellations before Jul 01, 2026 may be refunded with a 10% processing fee or credited in full toward a future event. Cancellations after this date for any reason cannot be refunded but can be credited toward a future event. We strongly recommend that only scholars who can reliably obtain visas to Japan register for this round.

Tournament of Champions Qualification

Scholars at the Yokohama Mini Global Round will have the opportunity to qualify for the Tournament of Champions in November 2027. Qualifiers will be announced at the Closing Ceremonies.
